What is the Big Black Cookout?
The Big Black Cookout is a community-centered gathering bringing together Black Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, families, friends, and supporters to celebrate culture, service, connection, and community.
When and where is the Big Black Cookout?
The Big Black Cookout is planned for Saturday, June 12, 2027, in Washington, DC at THEARC’s Outdoor Living Classroom. Additional event details will be shared as we get closer to the Cookout.
Who can support the Big Black Cookout?
Everyone! Individuals, businesses, organizations, RPCVs, Peace Corps community members, and friends of the Cookout are welcome to contribute and support the event.
What will my donation support?
Contributions help cover costs associated with bringing the Cookout to life, including the venue, cultural programming, entertainment, family activities, event operations, and other attendee experiences.
Can a business or organization sponsor the Cookout?
Yes! We offer several sponsorship opportunities for businesses, organizations, and community partners interested in supporting the event and receiving recognition. Contact us to learn more about available sponsorship levels.
Can I make an in-kind donation instead of a financial contribution?
Yes. We welcome potential in-kind contributions such as food, beverages, printing, photography, event supplies, giveaways, raffle items, and other goods or professional services. Please contact our team before making an in-kind contribution so we can coordinate current needs.
